This tour could start from Tunis capital, Hammamet or Sousse

Itinerary:

Exit south towards Kairouan fourth holy city of Islam, founded by the Muslims in 671 and where you will visit the Great Mosque Sidi Okba Ibn Nafaa, the oldest and most sacred of North Africa, and the mosque of Sidi Sahbi. Afterwards, stroll through the souk of Kairouan, where its craftsmanship of fabrics and brass stand out. Lunch.

In the afternoon, departure to El Jem. During its apogee Thysdrus, current El Jem, it covered approximately 220Ha. Its rich agricultural life (cereals and olive trees) and commercial, explains the sumptuousness of its buildings. It had a circus as large as that of Rome, three amphitheatres, villas with rich mosaics and public baths since there were few private due to the lack of water. Its magnificent amphitheater, dating from the early third century and had a capacity of 27,000 spectators. It is better preserved than even Rome, which justifies it being one of the most famous monuments in Tunisia. Its museum has important mosaics and Villa Africa.
